Text messaging

This page describes the Hermes text messaging program in plain language: who sends the messages, what they contain, and how a person joins or leaves the program.

Who sends the messages

Messages come from Hermes, a product of Transparent Metrics LLC, working with assisted living communities. Hermes turns the care a community already documents into a short, warm story of a resident's day for family.

What the messages are

A family member who opts in may receive: a story of their person's day, replies to questions they text back, and scheduling messages such as a confirmed time to talk with a member of the community's staff.

How consent is collected

Hermes texts only people who have asked to receive its messages. Consent is collected on a written consent form that names Hermes as the sender, either directly with us or collected in person by the staff of a community partner on Hermes's behalf, specifically for messages from Hermes. Consent is never bought, transferred, or bundled with other paperwork, and it is not a condition of a resident's care.

Frequency, rates, and opting out

Message frequency varies with the conversation you have opted into. Message and data rates may apply; rates are set by your carrier, not by us. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
